Anglian Water engineers on site at burst water main in Peterborough

Anglian Water engineers are on site in Peterborough to repair a burst water main affecting the water supply for many customers in the city.

The areas of the city affected are Freston and Paston, with residents of those areas reporting little or no water pressure throughout the day.

Engineers are now on site looking to fix the problem, which has been put down to a burst water main. Current estimations are for the water supply to be fully restored by 6pm.

A spokesperson for Anglian Water said: “We’re really sorry but some customers in Freston may have very low water pressure or no water at all.

“We’ve identified a burst water main in the area that we’re working hard to get fixed, so that we can get the supply back to normal as soon as possible.

“Supplies should be restored by 6pm today but we’ll update this message if anything changes.

“Again, we’re really sorry we’ve inconvenienced you and thanks for your patience.”
