A1 northbound near Peterborough reopens after ‘complex accident investigation’
The A1 northbound near Peterborough has reopened this evening (March 14) after a serious collision that was followed by a ‘complex investigation’.
The A1 northbound between the A47 and the A43 near Stamford was closed following a collision early this morning.
At least one car had left the carriageway and collided with trees.
A diversion has been in place as the scene was cleared followed by what the Highways Agency described as a ‘complex’ investigation.
This afternoon the Highways Agency said: “Complex investigation work is being carried out by Cambridgeshire Police. The closure is likely to remain in place until the early evening.”
The northbound carriageway has now reopened.
