When to expect to return to Peterborough’s High Street chain restaurants

A number have already intimated they will be opening in line with the Government’s dine-in restrictions on May 17 - and some are already taking bookings.

It remains to be seen how many will have the capacity to open on April 12 - however Argo Lounge in Bridge Street has today confirmed it will.

“Amazing news that we’ll be open for both takeaway and outdoor dining on Monday 12th April,” said a spokesperson.

Middleton’s Steak House, despite its large outdoor dining area in Bridge Street, has confirmed it will not be opening until May 17 when the inside of the venue is able to open,

Turtle Bay, another venue with a good sized outdoor seating area, overlooking St John’s Square is taking bookings for inside from May 17. The chain has said it will open some restaurants from April, but has not confirmed if Peterborough will be one of those.

Across the Square, Cote Brasserie, in Church Street, will be reopening on May 17 but  is not yet taking bookings. 

Near neighbour Bills has announced it will be opening its restaurants across the country in May. However, a spokesman today said they could not confirm a reopening date for Bill’s in Peterborough.

Wildwood, in Cathedral Square, is taking bookings from May 17. And a few doors down, Nando’s is directing customers to its website for updates on reopening.

Frankie and Benny’s, with restaurants at Boongate and Hampton, will reopen on May 17 and is taking bookings.

Wagamama, in Long Causeway, Prezzo, in Cowgate, Pizza Express, in Church Street, and Five Guys, in Church Street, A are all expected to reopen in May.
