Umami confirms opening of 'all you can eat' Peterborough restaurant
Umami World Kitchen, the pan-Asian buffet restaurant, will be joining Peterborough’s diverse, multicultural food scene at the Queensgate Centre.
As revealed here last month, when the fit out of the restaurant was agreed, Umami, operated by Cosmo Restaurant Group, will occupy a 7,000 sq ft space within the scheme’s leisure extension, positioned alongside key anchors Putt & Play and ODEON.
The brand blends casual dining with bold global flavours, through an elevated all-you-can-eat buffet experience showcasing over 100 dishes drawn from multiple cuisines, including Chinese, Italian, Indian, and Malaysian.
The concept will include a mix of family-friendly favourites alongside street food, and a teppanyaki station for made-to-order Japanese dishes. Guests can also enjoy exciting Chef’s Specials from Monday to Saturday for continued variety, as well as a traditional Sunday carvery.

The company has recently applied for a premises licence for the restaurant, although no date for the opening has been revealed.
Together with an established retail line-up and a growing tenant mix, the addition of Umami further diversifies the curated selection of F&B operators, including Taco Bell, Turtle Bay, and Tap & Tandoor.
Catherine Lambert, Centre Director at Queensgate Shopping Centre, said: “Welcoming Umami World Kitchen is another exciting step forward in the continued evolution of Queensgate. As we strengthen our food and leisure offering, it’s important that every new addition brings something distinctive and high quality to the centre, and Umami does exactly that.
