Take a look inside Peterborough’s 2020 World Buffet restaurant which opens tonight

The wraps have come off - for a second time - today at the multi-cuisine 2020 World Buffet restaurant in Peterborough city centre.

The £700,000 venue, in New Road, opened for just one day in March before the covid-19 lockdown kicked in. Despite restaurants, pubs and bars being given the go-ahead to reopen on July 4, Paul Sharma and the team have played a waiting game and made certain it was safe to reopen. “It has been a long time, but we are ready and I can’t wait,” said Paul. “Everything has gone well getting the place safe and ready to open - I hope the reaction is a very positive one when customers return. We have done our best to make it safe and comfortable. Hopefully people are by now confident enough to venture out and eager to try somewhere new. With our multi-cuisine menu (serving Indian, Nepalese, Japanese, Thai, Chinese and Italian) we have everything under one roof.” The restaurant has signed up to the Eat Out To Help Out scheme during August.
