Crazy sounding gourmet burgers, lamb hotdogs, pizza and peri peri chicken are coming to Peterborough city centre this summer.
Leicester-based Grizzlers is in the process of transforming the vacant former Lightbox cafe in Bridge Street into a sitdown or takeaway restaurant.
Although there is no official opening date, a spokesman said they were aiming to be up and running by July.
Grizzlers describes itself as the “unfussy counter-serve eatery offering grilled burgers, peri peri chicken and pizza” and will be serving up some tasty and imaginative culinary creations.
The gourmet burger menu lists options such as Silly Billy, Juicy Lucy, Elvis Burger, the Hotrod and Grizzpy kreme burger - in a glazed ring donut.
There is also nacho starters, “dirty fries” topped with mozzarella, lamb sausage hot dogs, pizza, peri peri chicken, double fried chicken wings in a glaze of your choice and a selection of milkshakes and desserts. not to mention some vegetarian alternatives.
