In Pictures: The new places to eat and drink in Peterborough 2025 - and the ones that we lost!

It has been a busy year for those who like eating out across the Peterborough area, with some notable comings and goings.

There have been some refurbishments, rebrandings, reopenings, new openings and, sadly, some that have packed away the menus for the last time.

We said hello to the likes of Lincoln Road’s Turkish Restaurant, the stunning city centre Kathmandu Lounge, Miller & Carter steak house at Alwalton, Lotus in Westgate and even a Wingstop amongst others.

It was sadly the end of the road for long-established favourites such as The Banyan Tree in Westgate and Tavan on Lincoln Road.

But already there are new arrivals to look forward to in 2026.

Down at The Triangle on Lincoln Road, Turkish Restaurant opened for business in February, and I paid a visit to sample what was on offer at this low key gem of a place.
