Drive-in film and food festival coming to Peterborough in September

Peterborough One Retail Park is playing host to a drive-in film and food festival next month.

The event is scheduled to run across four days from Thursday, September 24 until Sunday 27 and will be held outside the Van Hage store at PE1 Retail Park, at Eye.

Shops will remain open and shoppers are encouraged to pop in and sample the festival.

Event organiser Adam Coulton said: “We will do everything we can to make this drive-in event a success. We are currently looking into providing some music and will of course be showcasing local talent.”

All weather screens will offer motorists the chance to claim one of the 60 spaces avaialble for each film showing. Offerings range from Finding Nemo and The Good Dinosuar for young children, family classics such as Shrek and Toy Story, with Bohemian Rhapsody and Elton John biopic Rocketman among the options for adults.

Films will begin at 1pm on Thursday and Friday and at the weekend extra showings begin at 10am and continuethroughout the day. Final showings will be at 7pm each night.

Alongside this, there will also be refreshments avaiblable from a variety of street food vendors which can be ordered from and delivered to your vehicle.

People that are interested have been advised to check the event Facebook page as a full list of vendors will be announced there in the next week.

Facebook will also contain information about when tickets go on sale, which is expected to be in the next week aswell. When tickets are available they will be at www.musthavetickets.co.uk.
