Côte set to boost Peterborough city centre restaurant offering next month

Cote Brasserie in Church Street is to reopen in August.

The restaurant, on Church Street, will reopen its doors for the first time in more than four months on August 3 as part of the company’s staggered reopening process nationally which began last week.

Layout and seating arrangements will be adapted to allow for social distancing, in accordance with government guidelines, meaning a reduced capacity. And the restaurant - a £1million investment for the chain in 2016 - will only open from 12 noon until 9pm, accommodating groups of up to six people.

It will be running a simplified menu of Côte classics.

The return of the popular bistro will be a boost for the St John’s Square area, with Pizza Express to one side closed, and near neighbour Bill’s still to reopen.

A spokesperson for Bill’s, a 2015 addition to the square’s eating out scene, said: “The restaurants are going to be opening gradually, some sooner than others. There is no update in regard to any closures.”

Elsewhere in the city centre, 2020 World Buffet reopens on New Road on Wednesday, July 29.
