A big weekend in the beer garden... and a good time was had by all

Live music, DJs and some sunshine made sure the opening weekend at one Peterborough venue was a big success.

Damian Wawrzyniak, who has a huge outdoor offering at his House of Feasts pub and restaurant in Eye Green, described Friday to Sunday as “insanely busy” and he is already looking to the summer when he will need a garden kitchen and more seating.

“It has been busy all week, but Friday, when we had live music, Saturday, when we had DJs, and Sunday was unbelievable. Insanely busy - we had more than 1,300 customers out there over the three days.

“It was great to see everyone was having a good time and was happy, and importantly everyone stayed seated a were well behaved.

“This week looks like it will be the same, with lots of weekend bookings already, and we will have more music, which people really seemed to like.”

The chef/patron added: “We have a huge garden here but already we cannot cope - looking to later in the summer we will need an outdoor kitchen and more seating and cover, Luckily we have the space to put it.”
