The big event was hosted by PCR FM’s legendary radio presenter Kev Lawrence who introduced a series of acts before the big countdown.
Santa flicked the switch at 7pm on Friday evening (November 19) supported by mayor Cllr Stephen Lane and stars of the city’s pantos from the New Theatre Peterborough, The Cresset and the Key Theatre.
There were also performances from Courtney Pudney, Tommy Philpott, George Elliot, Cecil Farayi and Peterborough Cathedral Choir.
