Ace came in us via inspectorate. He is an affectionate gentleman who will require a quiet yet active household. He could live with a well matched canine companion, no felines, and children aged 12+ who have experience around dogs. He will also require an owner who is around a lot of the day to provide him with all the love and attention he deserves. Could you offer our lovely boy a retirement home?

The Peterborough Telegraph is running regular spotlights on dogs that need new homes to support the work of animal charities in the Peterborough area.

The Peterborough and District Branch of the RSPCA do so much to rescue, nurture and subsequently rehome dogs in the area. They have continued to operate throughout lockdown and within a small radius are still permitted to rehome these animals.

Below are a selection of those that have been rescued and are in need of their forever home.

Paris is such a lovely girl; Gentle giant really does fit her personality. When it comes to fuss and cuddles, she knows what she wants, and she is not afraid to ask. She shared her previous home with another dog, so she might appreciate having another friendly dog in the home, but she is so human focused that it's not a 'must'. (She'd probably be just as happy keeping all the fuss and cuddles for herself!)

To find more details on each dog and to search for more rescue animals, visit www.rspca.org.uk/findapet/rehomeapet/process.

The RSPCA are funded entirely by public donations and receive no government money and therefore rely on the generosity of the public. Anyone wishing to support their work do so via www.rspca.org.uk/getinvolved/donate.

Beautiful Reggie is looking for a forever home to call his own. He isn't coping in kennels so is desperately looking to find his perfect match soon. Reggie absolutely adores playing, and will happily engage in games with you. He has previously lived with children around 12 years of age and we feel this would be a suitable match for him as he can be very lively!
Dudley is a very sweet 3 year old Yorkie cross. He really loves people, but he has had a bit of a confusing first few years. At first, Dudley was very nervous. He did quite a lot of guarding (of food and toys), and it took him a little while to settle in. He has made so much progress since moving in with his foster family though, and has started to behave more like the happy confident little chap that he deserves to be. In order to continue his progress and help him to have a more positive outlook, we think Dudley needs a very stable and calming environment, with a nice predictable routine. He also needs to build his trust in people, and will happily take all of the cuddles and reassurance he can get to help him with that!
Louie is a sweet 8 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier looking for his forever home. He is a loving boy who adores being with people and being all cuddled. He is currently in a foster home where is is enjoying being showered with fuss and attention. Louie is a fun loving boy who loves to play and go on walks. He is generally good on the lead but can pull a little at times. He would love a home with a spacious garden for him to play and explore in.
Bonnie (white) and Rosie (tan and white) are currently in a foster home. When they arrived at Danaher they were extremely scared of the kennel environment so they have been in a foster home ever since. They have been learning the ways of being in a home and their fosterer has been working super hard with them to help them feel comfortable. Bonnie and Rosie are now house trained. It is clear that there is nothing these two would rather do then spend their days together! They absolutely love snoozing on the sofa together and are really needy for affection around the house. They are not used to being left for long periods of time and so would love someone around a lot of the day!

Say hello to Maxy! He came into us as he was being left in a yard for extended periods of time. He is a handsome 9 year old crossbreed looking to steal your heart and find his forever home. Maxy is a larger than life cuddle monster who will make an amazing companion. He loves nothing more than your company, fuss and food! However, he is under socialised with other dogs and can become frustrated when near causing him to bark and pull. He is ok at a distance but will still bark and jump if not distracted/removed from the situation quick enough.
Meet the Stunning Stella. She came into us as part of a cruelty case. She was found living outside in awful conditions. She has been with us a very long time. We are looking for extremely experienced shepherd people to take on Stella. We are looking for a quiet house hold for Stella with not too many visitors. Could live with a dog savvy 16+ child. . Stella builds such strong bonds with people but initially can be very nervous around strangers which is why she will require many visits before she can go home.
This absolutely delightful little cherub is Tango and she is desperate to go and learn all about the good life! Tango may be small and very cute but she is going to take up a lot of someone's time and patience in order for her to settle into her new home. Tango hasn't ever lived in a 'normal' home environment, so things like housetraining and household noises are all going to need to be introduced to her slowly and in a positive way.
