Peterborough has its ups and downs but it is these quirks that make it the home we know and love.
From taking a swim in the Lido open air pool to breathing in the distinctive smell of sugar beet factory, from tackling the Crown to town pub crawl to meeting iconic characters like Nobby the tramp, there is so much that sets us apart from other cities.
When we asked our readers to finish the sentence: You’re not really from Peterborough if you haven’t...
These are some of the answers we received.

13. Sausages from Franks
Generations enjoyed sausages from Franks. The family run firm's shop was in Peterborough city centre for more than 130 years before the Westgate Arcade shop was closed in 2014. But Andrew Frank and his son Alex later set up a unit in The Square off Vicarage Farm Road, Fengate and are currently open Tuesday to Friday.

14. The Bull and Dolphin Shuffle
It's been featured before but so many readers told us about their memories of the Bull & Dolphin pub in Lower Bridge Street where a dance evolved to the song Love Won't Be Denied by Len Boone - which is a sort-of disco line dance that creeps out at many work Christmas parties. Only true Peterborians know how to do the Bull and Dolphin Shuffle! Photo: Midlands

15. Wresting and roller discos at the Wirrina
The Wirrina was a hugely popular venue for generations of Peterborians. From bands and concerts to wrestling shows and the hugely popular rollers discos it was a major feature of city life until it was demolished in 2010. Photo: Midlands
