So many generations of Peterborough people will have enjoyed themselves here – concertgoers, film fans and music lovers.

The Embassy theatre was built, art deco style, in the 1930s in Broadway in the city centre and hosted some big names, from Laurel and Hardy in the early days through to Tommy Steele and The Beatles.

In the 60s it became the ABC cinema, later the Cannon, before closing in the late 80s.

A refurbishment in 2019 saw it return to its original name Embassy while it is also home to Flares and Red Room.
