Looking Back: ‘Support for marching nurses’

Here are some more Chris Porsz pictures from the 1982 NHS pay protest in Bridge Street, Long Causeway and Cathedral Square.

Chris said: “I was an A&E porter and we marched from the hospital and like today drew huge public support including Jock, a regular on the streets, clapping for the carers in Cathedral Square.

“Sadly many have departed but hoping readers will put names to faces.

“It won’t be easy but I would like to do a reshoot for my book Reunions 2.”
