There must be thousands of revellers gathered in Cathedral Square – it will be a very different picture this year.
A more recent (and less crowded) New Year celebration is pictured next. This was taken on New Year’s Eve 2012.
Who remembers the canopy of Christmas lights that briefly adorned the square?
They were great, what happened to them?
Then there are some scenes from recent years. Hopefully Next Year will see a city centre celebration again.
