Looking back: Back to 80s on Peterborough’s Lower Bridge Street

Regular contributor to Looking Back Andy Cole has once more delved into his fantastic archive of old pictures of Peterborough.

Of the first picture Andy said: “This is Bridge Street west side in May 1985 with ‘Rinaldo’s’ which I assume was formally The Bull and Dolphin pub.”

The next picture was taken on the same day.

“Who remembers Bridge Fish Bar and Frank’s butchers?

The final photograph shows empty shops prior to the creation of the Rivergate shopping development.
