Life inside Peterborough City Hospital revealed by local photographer’s new book

The latest set of pictures from Peterborough photographer Chris Porsz’s new book show the inner workings of Peterborough City Hospital in the last five years.

The pictures are once again from his new book, Just Be Kind, that showcases how the NHS in Peterborough has changed over the last 40 years.

Chris has worked in hospitals since 1974 after becoming a porter and then moving onto become a paramdeic in 1988. During that time, he spent many of his days off accompanying colleagues to capture patients’ journeys from the 999 call to the hospital.

The book includes images from the last 40 years and takes readers on a journey through how NHS provision and the job of NHS staff has changed throughout the last four decades.

Below are a selection of the most recent pictures included in the book that show life at Peterborough City Hospital between 2015 and 2020.

Just Be Kind is available for £20 at www.chrisporsz.com, with part of the proceeds going towards Breast Cancer Research.
