Walk in service at Spalding minor injury unit suspended

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) is temporarily changing the way patients access care from its minor injury unit in Spalding due to the coronavirus pandemic.

There is now no longer a walk in service at the Minor Injury Unit at Johnson Community Hospital in Spalding. Access will now be provided through NHS 111.

LCHS said it is “working hard with other NHS healthcare providers to prevent the spread of coronavirus and to ensure NHS staff are in the right places to care for patients as best we can in these unprecedented times.

“The trust is focusing its resources on its home visiting and virtual consultation function to ensure we can continue to deliver a high quality and responsive service”.

It added that the change will be reviewed regularly and the service re-opened as soon as possible.
