Cambridge Children’s Hospital will take a unique approach to caring for children when it opens in 2025 with physical and mental health treated together rather than separately.

The first specialist children’s hospital in the East of England, it will also include a Global Genome Institute to realise the enormous potential of genomic medicine. This will search out the early origins of disease affecting both physical and mental health.

The hospital is due to open in 2025, and as part of the engagement process secondary school pupils are being offered the chance to win a gaming PC worth more than £800 to design a logo for the new Cambridge Children’s Network - a group of young people, families and carers who will help develop the new hospital from how it looks to the care it provides.
