Plans to convert a former doctor’s surgery in Peterborough into a six-bedroom House of Multiple Occupation (HMO) have been approved.

Church Walk Surgery closed in June 2019 with services transferring to Eye Road Surgery.

Patients were able to move to either Eye Road Surgery or Parnwell Medical Practice in Saltersgate.

Peterborough City Council has now approved plans for the former GP practice to become a six-bedroom HMO

The application submitted to the authority stated: “No physical development will be required for the change of use to a HMO.

“There will only be minor interior alterations in order to accommodate the six en-suite bedrooms and shared amenities.”
