Readers shared their touching stories of the great care they have received from the hospice in Thorpe Road, Longthorpe, after being prompted to do so on Facebook.

Sheila Carter: I was born there, but my dad passed away in SR, I will always be grateful for the dignity and care they gave him, they let my mum stay with him for 3 nights and she was a MS sufferer and the night he died they made me a bed up they are really all angels x

Pete Thompson: The care they gave my terminally ill wife, and the support given to my family and I was totally astounding. Outstanding simply doesn’t adequately describe the standards set at Thorpe Hall by all the of the staff and volunteers.

Ros James: Same here jean my daughter Teresa was born there 51 yrs ago in may we actually both went up there last week to the coffee ☕️ shop and I said to her you were born here and she said and I might die here i said don’t say that xx

Julie Blake: My dad was there. The staff were amazing with him and us. I’ll be forever grateful to them for taking such care of him in his last days. Aftercare for us was also amazing ❤️
