Called the Good Life Fund, small grants of up to £500 will be available to people in the local community to help set up activities or groups that improve wellbeing, and help to connect people through shared interests and passions. These activities could be anything from book clubs to craft groups and from football teams to toddler groups.

Small grants like the Good Life Fund can be a catalyst for encouraging people to take their first steps to become engaged in their communities, helping and inspiring them to develop their ideas for groups and activities.

The Good Life Fund was developed in consultation with partners of CPSL Mind across the region with people with lived experience of mental health problems at the heart of this.

Allan Hughes, Co-Production Lead at CPSL Mind, commented, “I am really excited about the Good Life Fund, and am looking forward to seeing different activities and ideas come to life. I love the fact that our volunteers will be involved and we hope to boost the wellbeing of our community and create a sustainable network of things to do with local people at the heart of it.”

The fund is a new element of the wider Good Life Service and launched on January 11th 2021. For more information, please email [email protected] or visit https://www.cpslmind.org.uk/goodlife/the-good-life-fund to download an application form.
