The two Peterborough neighbourhoods with fewer than 3 COVID cases last week - and the 13 others to see a fall in positive tests

Two Peterborough neighbourhoods recorded fewer than three COVID positive tests last week, as the case rate continues to fall in most areas of the city.

Orton West & Castor and Newborough and Peakirk both saw fewer than three positive tests in the past week (up to March 25) - which means data including a case rate for the area is not available on government statistics.

Of the other 22 areas of the city, 13 saw a fall in cases, with three others seeing the number of positive tests staying the same.

The areas with the biggest fall were Walton, Fletton and Hampton Hargate, which all saw seven fewer cases than the previous week.

Other than Orton West and Castor and Newborough and Peakirk, the area of teh city with the lowest rate is Hampton Hargate, with a rate of 51.4 cases per 100,000 people.

The biggest rise in cases was seen in Dogsthorpe, which saw 17 more cases than the previous week. With 25 positive tests, Dogsthorpe has also seen the most cases in the city.

Millfield and Bourges Boulevard, which had seen the most cases for a number of weeks in a row, is now fourth on the list after seeing another fall.

Peterborough had 227 cases in the seven days - a fall of 42 compared to the previous week, and has an overall rate of 112.2. The UK rate is 56.2. Peterborough now sits 26th in the country case rate tables.
