The seven Peterborough neighbourhoods with two or fewer COVID cases - and the seven to see a rise in the past week

Seven Peterborough neighbourhoods saw two or fewer COVID cases in the past week - but seven others saw an increase in positive tests.

Government data shows that nearly a third of the 22 areas in the city now two or fewer cases recorded. No data on case rates are published by teh government for areas with two or fewer cases to protect individuals’ identities.

A further three areas of the city recorded three cases in the seven days up to April 22.

The area with the highest number of cases in the past week was West Town and Woodston, with 11 positive tests. Hargate & Orton Longueville has the highest rate with 102.8 - the only area of the city with a rate higher than 100.

Peterborough’s case rate is now 48.5 cases per 100,000 people - the 21st highest rate in the country. The UK rate stands at 25.3.

It has now been more than a month since the last COVID related death (within 28 days of a positive test) was recorded in the city.
