Peterborough records no coronavirus deaths at hospital or new cases for second consecutive day

No new coronavirus deaths at Peterborough City Hospital or positive cases have been recorded in the city for two consecutive days.

According to figures released yesterday, the number of positive cases in Peterborough still stands at 465 - the same number as recorded on Monday, while Peterborough City Hospital has recorded 145 deaths since March 24, the same number as recorded on Saturday.

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Peterborough City Hospital and Hinchingbrooke Hospital last recorded a coronavirus death on Saturday.

A total of 470 patients with the virus have been discharged from the two hospitals during the pandemic, up one from Saturday.

Earlier this week the trust said last week 12 patients were admitted to hospital with the virus, down from 95 the previous week.
