Peterborough hospitals trust announces another coronavirus death

The North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust which runs Peterborough City Hospital and Hinchingbrooke Hospital has announced another patient with coronavirus has died.

It is understood the latest death was not at Peterborough City Hospital, where no patients have died from coronavirus related conditions for more than two weeks.

Caroline Walker, Chief Executive, for North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, said: “I can confirm that sadly, 252 patients being cared for in our Trust have passed away since we began reporting Covid-19-related deaths.

“There have been 100 at Hinchingbrooke Hospital and 152 at Peterborough City Hospital. All patients were aged 30 to 98 years old and had pre-existing health conditions.

“Our thoughts and condolences remain with the patients’ families and loved ones at this difficult time.”

The Trust, DHSC, NHS England and NHS Improvement will not be giving out any further information on these patients.
