The venue has worked quickly with the local authorities to obtain permission to hold the display three days earlier than planned, allowing a COVID-19 secure fireworks event to happen.
Jason Lunn, venue director, explained, "Following the surprise announcement of a new national lockdown starting on Thursday, we moved quickly to reschedule our sold out drive-in fireworks display. We know that organised displays help to prevent accidents and injuries from private homes and additionally this year hopefully prevent some of the private gatherings that could take place. We wanted to avoid the disappointment of yet another cancellation, and provide a safe environment for our annual fireworks display."

"Clearly, not everyone who has booked a ticket will be able to attend, and we understand that moving the date at short notice means some tickets will still need to be refunded. But for everyone who wants to enjoy an amazing display with music and live radio commentary, please come and enjoy the fireworks with us on Wednesday."
“I would like to thank everyone from Public Health and the Local Authority for assisting us in this last minute change of date,” concluded Lunn.
Please note that there will be no food and beverage concessions available.
