The city had the 37th highest rate per 100,000 people on Wednesday last week - but figures released yesterday showed it had the 13th highest rate in the UK (up to April 7).

The data showed there was a slight increase in the rate for the second day in a row - although there had been no increases since March 25 before this.

The rate in Peterborough now stands at 70.7 cases per 100,000 people. The UK rate is 28.7.

There have been no deaths recorded in Peterborough within 28 days of a COVID positive test for 17 days now - the longest run with no such deaths since September.
