Peterborough charity to host Zoom quiz for residents

The quiz will be hosted by Shine at 8.15pm on Thursday.

The charity provides specialist support for people living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, as well as to parents, families, carers and professional care staff.

It said: "Shine invites you to take part in their new and exciting quiz event. From the comfort of your home you will be transformed to our virtual quiz room, where the quiz master will share multiple choice questions which will appear like magic on your own screen.

"The quicker you answer correctly the more points you get! The live leader board will keep you updated on your progress, with the evening's top scorer being awarded the virtual ‘Quiz Crown’."

Shine said the quiz will be run using Zoom for video calling and s separate quiz platform for the game. Therefore, you will need two devices to play, such as a smartphone, tablet or computer. Once registered, it will send you the log in details.

There are five rounds of 10 questions, and at the end players will be asked to make a donation.

The charity added: "This is a new and exciting way to quiz with Shine. We only have space for the first 250 people on the evening. If people enjoy the quiz we will increase the number of people that can play next time."
