No coronavirus deaths at Peterborough City Hospital for nearly two weeks

There have been no deaths related to coronavirus reported at Peterborough City Hospital for nearly two weeks.

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust said the last death related to the virus at the Peterborough hospital occurred on July 16. The statistics were updated at midnight.

Sadly, there have been a total of 152 coronavirus related deaths at the hospital since March 24. There have also been 99 COVID related deaths at Hinchingbrooke Hospital in the same period.

All patients were aged 30 to 98 years old and had pre-existing health conditions. They had all tested positive for Covid-19.

The city’s rolling seven-day rate of new cases of Covid-19 per 100,000 of population continues to fall, with figures published last night (July 27) showing Peterborough’s rate is 18.4 compared to 24.4 the previous week. The city sits in 18th place in the national rankings.
