A bubble of year 11 pupils have been asked to take the measures at Nene Park Academy after a class mate tested positive for COVID 19.

Rob Grover, Principal of Nene Park Academy, said: “One student has received a positive test result for Covid-19. After liaising with Public Health England, we have asked 64 students in Year 11 to stay at home and self-isolate until 24th September as a precaution. These students do not need to get a test unless they develop symptoms themselves. Their families, also, do not need to self-isolate unless anyone in their household develops symptoms, in line with the government’s guidelines.

“Due to the stringent ‘bubbles’ that we have put in place at Nene Park Academy, all other year groups, staff and all other Year 11 students will attend school as they would do normally and continue to follow the government’s guidelines.”
