Hundreds of Peterborough residents sign up for COVID vaccine trials

So far a total of 300 people from the city have signed up to help scientists in the hunt for a crucial vaccine.

The figures show the 300 are evenly split, with 150 male and 150 female volunteers.

85 are aged between 18 and 39, 135 between 40 and 59 and 80 are aged between 60 and 79.

Across the country 133,820 people have signed up to take part in the trials .
