Dozen Peterborough areas see rise in Covid-19 cases

More than a dozen areas in Peterborough have seen a recent rise in the number of positive Covid-19 tests.

In the seven days up to October 14 there were 13 neighbourhoods which saw a rise in virus cases.

This included Eye and Thorney which rose from four positive tests to 12, although Hampton Vale reduced from 18 to 11.

Overall, 20 areas saw at least three positive tests, with Peterborough Central registering the most (14).

The data comes from Public Health England which has split the country into neighbourhoods of approximately 7,200 people.

Cases from pillar 1 and pillar 2 of the Government’s testing programme are included.
