Covid testing ‘tweetathon’ to encourage take-up in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire

As part of efforts to raise awareness that twice-weekly rapid Covid testing is now available to everyone, both Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council are asking for support with a social media event they are holding on Friday (April 23).

On that date the councils will be hosting a ‘tweetathon’ on their Twitter accounts (@CambsCC and @PeterboroughC ).

Throughout the day the councils will be posting tweets focused on rapid testing and how members of the public can access it. They are also asking everyone to get involved by responding with their own messages and images all about rapid testing.

They will be posting tweets with the hashtag #rapidtestcambs and #rapidtestpboro to raise awareness that free rapid testing is a vital tool in reducing cases of Covid.

Residents are encouraged to retweet, like and respond to the posts detailing their own experiences with rapid testing.
