North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Hinchingbrooke, Stamford and Rutland and Peterborough City Hospitals, announced the new measures this morning.

From today, all visits to the hospitals have been suspended, with the following exceptions:

End of life patients

One parent for paediatric patients

One birthing partner

The restrictions are in place to protect NHS staff and patients, and to prevent the spread of the virus.
