Coronavirus: Police inundated with calls after Boris Johnson broadcast
and live on Freeview channel 276
The Twitter account for Lincolnshire Police's control room tweeted: "We are experiencing an extremely high volume of calls from people asking for further guidance regarding the @10DowningStreet broadcast. Please don’t call 999/101 unless it’s an emergency or you need a police response."

Hide AdIt includes requiring people to stay at home, except for very limited purposes, closing non-essential shops and community spaces and stopping all gatherings of more than two people in public.
Police have been given powers to enforce the lockdown.
The Government will look again at the measures in three weeks.
