Coronavirus: One further patient dies at Peterborough hospital trust as UK death rate slows down

A further Covid-19 patient has died at a hospital run by the North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.

The latest NHS England figures show the number of deaths of coronavirus patients at the trust - which runs Peterborough City Hospital and Hinchingbrooke Hospital - has reached 165.

Across the country, a further 160 Covid-19 associated deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours - the lowest since March 24, the day after lockdown began - bringing the total to 34,796.

The number of positive coronavirus tests in Peterborough is currently at 369, according to the latest government figures.

The totals are 1,055 for Cambridgeshire, 1,042 for Lincolnshire and 1,311 for Northamptonshire.
