Car parks remain closed at Peterboroughs Ferry Meadows

Mr Johnson said that from Wednesday residents would be able to travel to take part in exercise - and go out for exercise as often as they want during the day, as long as social distancing takes place.

A spokesman for Nene Park Trust said they were ‘reviewing the guidelines’ to ensure they can keep visitors, staff and volunteers safe.

The spokesman said: “Following last night’s announcement by the Government, car parks at Ferry Meadows and across Nene Park still remain CLOSED at this time.

“We are currently reviewing the latest guidance and how we can operate within these safety measures.

“The safety of our staff, volunteers and public is our priority. We are following Government guidance and will respond to any changes in this as quickly as we possibly can.”
