Cambridgeshire resident tests positive for coronavirus

Public Health England (PHE) have said there is a confirmed case of coronavirus affecting a Cambridgeshire resident.

In their latest update, PHE said the case had been diagnosed in the past 24 hours.

The list of confirmed cases includes one affecting Peterborough - although a spokesman for PHE said the virus had affected someone from Peterborough who was out of the city, and was being treated elsewhere.

There is no further information about the Cambridgeshire case.

Across the UK 324 people have now been confirmed as positive for COVID-19, with six deaths linked to the virus.

Cambridgeshire’s neighbouring counties have had cases, with one case in Lincolnshire and five in Northamptonshire. There have been no cases in Norfolk.
