School joins education trust

A Deeping school has started a new era after joining the CIT Trust.

Linchfield Community Primary School, in Deepin St James, have been working with the trust, which works with other schools in the East Midlands for about a year.

Now they have officially joined the trust.

Selina Ratchford, Interim Headteacher: “This is a very exciting time for Linchfield Primary and our whole school community. CIT have been supporting the school over the past 12 months, working closely with staff to secure rapid improvements and we have been very pleased with the progress seen throughout the school.

“We are looking forward to a bright future as the school goes from strength to strength to provide the very best education for Linchfield pupils.”

Linchfield joining CIT moves the number of schools within the Trust to 15: Six mainstream primary schools and nine special schools across the East Midlands.

Peter Bell, CIT Chief Executive, added, “The Trust have been supporting Linchfield since May 2019 following their Ofsted inspection. The school has made significant progress since and we are delighted that they are now formally part of the CIT Family. We will continue to work with the Linchfield team to ensure further positive development of the school and their drive to provide an outstanding education for their pupils.”
