A fixture in the Peterborough area since 1958, the business has been instrumental in helping to keep the local economy moving during the pandemic by adapting its services and business model to match what their clients need.

After staying open throughout the Covid19 pandemic, Supplies and Interiors Specialists Walters Limited wanted to give back to their local community and have launched ‘PPE on the cheaPPE’ scheme for schools. This comes after the firm donated PPE equipment to Peterborough City Hospital during the height of lockdown back in March.

By making Walters the sole provider of stationery and supplies, schools will be given the PPE they need – including masks, sanitisers, visors and wipes – at cost price. The amount schools spend on stationery and supplies with them will be matched with the amount of PPE supplied at cost.

With a sudden shift in employees working from home, Walters added contact-free home deliveries to their next-day delivery service on stationery as well as a 40% discount and 72-hour door-to-door delivery service on UK-manufactured furniture as part of their new home office furniture range. This, alongside their free expert help and advice on Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessments at home is all to help businesses equip their staff with everything they need to work from home safely.

And for those gradually starting to return to their offices, Walters have introduced a range of products and services including protective acrylic social distancing signage and sneeze screens as well as workspace management solutions to help with measures such as controlling space and capacity.

Barry Matthews, CEO of the Ethos Group said: “We understand that the way businesses work has had to adapt and the team at Walters are happy to help all businesses and schools in the Peterborough area whether that be with the supply of PPE, home deliveries, helping your staff safely build a home office or get people back to offices safely and securely. We want to help our local community as best as possible.”

Here to stay having recently renewed the lease on their Royce Road premises, Walters can help your firm in 2020. To find out how you can take advantage of the PPE scheme, email [email protected] or visit their website.
