The UTC, which is based in Park Crescent, said in a statement: “Working alongside our new academic partners the Cambridge Meridian Academies Trust (CMAT) we are finally able to share this outstanding news.

“This means current Year 6 students with a passion for STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) are now able to join our school at an even earlier age.

Starting with us in Year 7 means we are able to deliver our specialist curriculum to even more of Peterborough’s budding young scientists, architects, designers and mathematicians.”
