Fulbridge Academy in Keeton Road, New England, has been given the go ahead for a new cabin at the site to be used for music teaching.

The school said in its plans to the city council: “The addition of the new cabin has been planned as the first step of future building developments due to take place at Fulbridge Academy.

“By creating a music room on site at Fulbridge Academy High it allows for all performing arts provision to take place in one place, meaning less transition of children across Keeton Road at the front of school in order to prioritise the safety of the children.

“Further to this, a new music room allows for space to be taken back at Fulbridge Academy which will then be developed in future to create new classrooms as required.”

The four form-entry primary school is part of the Four Cs Academy Trust.

The new cabin will be 11.6m x 4.8m in size and will be split into two practice spaces.
