Robin Grover, Principal at Nene Park Academy, said: “All of our students have worked incredibly hard and whilst we cannot name every one of them, we feel immensely proud of them all, especially those students that may not have achieved the highest grades, but have made incredible progress during their time with us. Given the circumstances that students have found themselves in this year through no fault of their own, we feel they have coped admirably and deserve all the plaudits for achieving a wonderful set of results, as a cohort and individually.”

Particular successes include those of:

Emily Clapham who achieved 7x grade 9, 2x grade 8 and 1x grade 7

Due to exam cancellations as a result of COVID-19 restrictions, results were based on centre-assessed grades this year. These were estimated based on performance in mocks and progress assessments, as well as attainment throughout the GCSE course.

Mr Grover added: “I am incredibly proud of our students, who have achieved a fantastic set of results despite all the challenges they have faced this year. These results reflect the students’ commitment and dedication and I wish them all the best of luck in the next phase of their education.

“The successes we celebrate today would not have been possible without the support of our incredible teachers who have inspired students throughout the duration of their time here at the Academy; I cannot thank them enough.”

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, students will receive their results online and each individual student will be contacted throughout the day to offer support and guidance for their next steps.
