Peterborough A Levels: Hard work pays off for students at St John Fisher

The head teacher at St John Fisher School has praised the hard work of students as they picked up their A Level Results.

Kate Pereira said: “In this unprecedented year of significant disruption to their Post 16 education, I would like to congratulate all students in Year 13 at St John Fisher for the hard work they have all put in to their studies over the past two years and for the resilience they and their teachers have shown over the past six months. Although students did not get a chance to sit their exams, students have received results today that enable them to go on to higher education or employment. Although I cannot name all students, I would like to highlight a few here:

Alaina Lopez achieved three grade A’s in Biology, Chemistry and Maths and will be going on to study Biomedical Science;

Wanessa Zerella achieved A* B B in Chemistry, Biology and Maths and will go onto study Nursing;

Sami Mohamed achieved A B B in Religious Studies, Sociology and English with an A* in his Extended Project;

Brooke Muncey achieved A B B in English, Media and History;

Jakub Wojcik achieved an A in Maths and two Distinction stars in ICT;

Phillip Creasey who was on the Youth Dreams Project achieved three Distinction stars in Sports Studies and will be spending a gap year working for the YDP.
