Coronavirus: Voucher scheme for free school meals in Peterborough being considered

Peterborough City Council said it was considering voucher schemes to make sure kids forced to stay at home during the crisis can get their free meal.

The Peterborough Telegraph has heard reports that not all schools are continuing to provide free school meals.

Asked for its response, a council spokesperson said: “The local authority is working with schools across both counties to ensure free school meals provision continues. We are currently looking at voucher schemes and other routes to deliver meals.

“In the meantime, we would advise parents to contact their school for more details.”
