We Love Peterborough launches stunning new calendar for 2026 featuring public-submitted photographs

We Love Peterborough is delighted to announce the launch of its highly anticipated 2026 calendar, featuring 13 stunning images captured by local residents.

They depict memorable scenes around Peterborough and its environs. Through a combination of public voting and editorial selection, a set of 13 exceptional images has been chosen from the many high-quality entries received for the coming year. The calendar is designed to highlight the richness of our region — the architecture, landscapes, community moments and everyday scenes that make Peterborough unique.

Susan Broccoli, Founder of We Love Peterborough said: “The standard of photographs which are submitted is always impressive from both hobbyists and amateur photographers, on smart phones and DSLRs, from young and older people, and this year it was great to see two Peterborough students win a place in the calendar. Our calendar is there to show off how beautiful places are around out city.”

The winners celebrated with a launch on Monday 27th October with each one receiving a copy of the calendar, hot drinks and cake at The Coffee Hive in Fletton along with a speech from their VIP guest; Matt Rowbottom from PCRFM. ”

The image that won prime place on the front cover is a stunning nighttime photograph of Peterborough Lido from Clare Marshall, Chair of Friends of Peterborough Lido, an active and regular swimmer at the Lido. Clare couldn’t attend the event but said, “I was setting up for an evening event at the Lido and when I looked from where I was standing the Lido looked so majestic and golden, I couldn’t resist taking a photograph”.

Susan added on the Lido photograph,“It was a no brainer that I selected this amazing photograph to be on the front cover this year. The Lido has been a big part of my life when I was younger spending many sunny summer days there either swimming, sunbathing or exam revising and learned to swim there too after travelling to and front the pool on our school bus, back then. It’s an amazing piece of architecture and next year it will be celebrating 90 years. So, it was only apt that it would take pride and place on the front for everyone to see. “

The We Love Peterborough calendar is now in its 5th year of production, and the finished calendars have been distributed as far afield as the USA, Australia and Europe. It doesn’t just wing its way on Peterborough residents’ walls; it goes out to Peterborough’s past residents who have emigrated and also those with any type of Peterborough contact.

Susan said, “I look forward to seeing fabulous images every year and anticipate what will be submitted next year too, so get snapping all seasons and save your photographs ready for next year’s competition, you never know!”

The calendar is available to purchase online on We Love Peterborough’s website and will be on sale at the ‘RB7’ store in Queensgate as well as possibly other places in November tba .
