Peterborough bus operator ready for judges' verdicts in two prestigious awards categories

Peterborough bus operator, Stagecoach East, is set to find out whether it has won the top prizes after being shortlisted in two categories at one of the most prestigious awards schemes in the UK bus industry.
The UK Bus Awards are hugely respected, with a 25-year history of recognising, rewarding, and inspiring the people in the industry. This year’s Awards Presentation Ceremony will be held at the famous Troxy, in London, on 25th November.
Tracey-Anne Hancox, Business Support Lead, has been shortlisted in the Unsung Hero category, both for her work with the operator’s leadership team and also for her devotion to the wellbeing of her colleagues.
Meanwhile, Stagecoach East has also been Shortlisted in the Culture Change category, following the success of Double Decker Diaries, which was launched, in October 2024, as a fortnightly Podcast, and has now finished Series One. It is believed be unique within Stagecoach - and possibly the bus industry. Episodes are hosted by Managing Director, Darren Roe, and Commercial Director, David Boden, who introduce guests and a news section, as well as conducting interviews. It sets a focused, yet relaxed, conversational tone.
Darren Roe, Managing Director of Stagecoach East, said: “We are really looking forward to finding out the results, but, the fact is that just to be made Finalists in two categories at the UK Bus Award is a real testament to the team’s hard work and desire to provide the best possible service for the people, and communities, in our region.
“Our promise to our local communities is that ‘we’ve got you’ and recognition like this just goes to prove the efforts that the team goes to in living out that promise, day in and day out.”
