Local care home to host free hearing aid maintenance clinics

Bayleaf Care Home, in Huntingdon have teamed up with Cambridgeshire Deaf Association to host a monthly Hearing Aid Maintenance Clinic for the local community.
Starting on Tuesday 27th January and continuing to take place on the 4th Tuesday of the month between 2pm and 3:30pm, members of the community will have a chance to have their NHS hearing aids cleaned, re-tubed and supplied with new batteries. No appointment is necessary and people can just turn up on the day. The home will also be serving a spread of teas and cakes for all to enjoy.
General Manager Katie Wilkinson said: “When Cambridgeshire Deaf Association spoke to us regarding the Hearing Aid Maintenance Clinics, we were delighted to offer Bayleaf Care Home as a venue. We understand that sometimes it can be difficult for people to maintain their hearing aids so we very happy to be able to do our bit to help.”
